Toxin membrane interactions

​The team's work focuses on the development of therapeutic molecules from research on bacterial and plant toxins.

 The team is working on :

  • Antidotes against ricin, Shigatoxins and a wide array of intracellular pathogens
  • Molecules enhancing therapeutic oligonucleotide delivery
  • Immuno-stimulating molecules boosting innate and adaptive immunity
  • Inhibitor of HB-EGF derived from diphtheria toxin, for the treatment of rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis

Retro-1 , Retro-2.1, Intracellular action of Retro-2.1
 


Retro-1 and Retro-2.1 are molecules blocking the intracellular trafficking of ricin and Shigatoxins in cells.
Our group is strongly involved in the joint ministerial program of R&D against CBRNE threats launched by the General Secretary for National Defense and Security and conducted by CEA under the joint supervision of CEA and the Armaments Procurement Agency (DGA).
